This round trip from Victoria Falls takes you down the river in Chobe National Park and through the wilderness of the Okavango Delta, Khwai and Savuti Game Reserves.
Feel the rumble and hear the roar of the Zambezi River as it flows over the cliffs that form the mighty Victoria Falls. A suitable setting for the launch of our exploration which sees us cross the border into neighbouring Botswana, along the route that some refers to as the “game drive route”.. Our 7 day round trip tour of Botswana, starts in the town of Victoria Falls, home to not the highest or the widest, but the largest waterfall in the world. Leaving Victoria Falls, we head to the border of Botswana and make our way down to the town of Nata, a stone’s throw away from the Makgadikgadi salt pans. After our included exploration of the pans, we set off for Maun, known as the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Here, you will have the opportunity to take an optional scenic flight over the wilderness plains before we board our open 4×4 game viewing safari vehicles and head in the direction of the Khwai Conservation Area, situated on the northern side of the Okavango Delta, the world’s largest inland delta, a labyrinth of lagoons, lakes and hidden channels covering 17 000 square kilometres. Water levels and temperatures fluctuate significantly from season to season so no two experiences are ever the same. Polers will guide your mokoro through the waterways and a nature walk will keep us entertained. Before we discover our next national park, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive in open 4×4 safari vehicles through Khwai. Next we set off for a full day of game driving through the Savuti Game Reserve, which is a unique area bordered by the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park and is renowned as a big game area and known for having the largest concentrations of wildlife in Southern Africa. Finally we reach Chobe National Park where we spend the afternoon viewing game from the comfort of a river boat. The Chobe National Park is undoubtedly the country’s most beautiful and popular nature and game reserve.
