Overlanding is a camping and outdoor experience. You experience the beautiful African scenery, local shops and get to know the local people in person. This all from the customized vehicles that are trekking through the beautiful nature of Africa.

Our Overlanding is contracted specifically to Nomad and ATC (Africa Travel Co). The vehicles are customized built for the Africa road and bush. Remote areas that are impossible to see and experience in a standard vehicle is possible through our tours. These make Overlanding an unforgettable and sought after experience.

At night you can experience the African sounds around an outdoor camp fire while your food is being prepared by the guide and manager of the route. We have various different routes and countries to visit as well as a choice of 2 tour options. Camping which are 2 star rated or accommodated tours which is 3 star rated. Camping is sleeping in a tent on a mattress and accommodated is sleeping in a bed in a Hotel, Guest House, Lodge or traditional hut. (Depending on the specific tour)

Both options the group enjoy their meals outside in the African nature and all are involved in helping with the preparation of the food and cleaning the cooking area. Camping tours is in a camp site where camping mattresses are inside the tents that 2 persons share and erect themselves. Small Group accommodated tours are 4 star rated and meals are served in the Hotel / lodge where diving tours are only available in accommodated tours. Nomad handles all 4 categories of tours available and ATC only do camping and accommodated overland tours.

Our tours have activities that you can do if you choose to. Please note the difference in the costing factor but you will enjoy the extra experience that are very unique.

You need to be healthy and have some fitness readiness. We stop and walk in the secure areas and you will also help carry the tent poles and assist in the overlanding yourself, at the camping sites. Whichever option you choose, it is breath taking with an exceptional Africa feel. The sound, smell and taste of Africa from deep inside Africa. Safe, secure, clean and well organized.
